WORKSHOP HELD- 3) Printing technologies from across the world

This was part of the workshop- 'Ancient Civilisations, Culture and Crafts'

The main idea- The kids learn to make prints following the culture symbols that they have learned in the workshops

Title- 'Printing Technologies of Different Ancient Cultures'-

Where the kids made a final project of printings- inspired by the printing methods of the 6 civilisations that they studied in the earlier 6 classes (of Ancient Civilisations, Culture and Crafts).

The prints were made on utility items so they can use them later on, e.g. t-shirts or mugs for display.

T-shirt stencil picture- Axtec sun symbol and Chinese lantern

Mug stencil picture- Chinese dragon (golden dragons used to symbolise protectors of metals/coins/wealth)

Glass thumb-prints- Following Australian aboriginal art
Glass thumb-prints- Completed work- Could be the Australian aborigines dancing happily? :-)



T-shirt stencil work- A typical Aztec symbol of the sun
T-shirt completed- With a boat print from Japanese origami method


T-shirt prints- Japanese cherry blossom tree made with prints from twigs and paper
T-shirt prints- A Japanese cherry blossom tree and Japanese Ikebana (flower decoration) made with twigs and paper
